"I Pledged to Support the Go'vt and People of Liberia"...US Ambassadors Says

(Monrovia-Liberia-August 27, 08)- New United States Ambassador accredited to Liberia says Liberia’s potential to become a great nation is unlimited. Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield said with continued improvement in economic governance and competent management of the country’s resources and affairs in a manner that is open, transparent and accountable, there is no reason Liberia should not become the economic tiger of West Africa and a model for all of its neighbors. The U.S. Envoy spoke today when he presently her letters of credence to President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Monrovia. She said her government was committed to supporting Liberia gets back on the right footing.
